OUR SERVICES
We are pleased to offer a range of tailored therapeutic services to meet your needs.
CHILD PLAY THERAPY
Play Therapy is a theoretically based structured approach which uses play, the child's natural means of expression, to assist them in coping with emotional stresses or difficult behaviours. By focusing on play rather than talk, this allows the child to make connections to their world, gain self-awareness and use play to explore different ways of being. Play therapy is suitable for children aged 3 years and older, and is particularly effective for Primary-aged children with or without special educational needs.
Adolescents can also benefit from play therapy approaches, but may choose drawing, sand trays, music and clay in preference to actual play.
Unlike other play, Play therapy is play with a therapeutic objective, with the therapist supporting the client directively and non-directively to address their needs.
We are happy to offer services to schools, social services and individuals.
CREATIVE ARTS THERAPY
Art and creative materials such as paints, clay and music enable clients to express themselves, relax, develop self-confidence and coping strategies.
FAMILY THERAPY
Helping families to reconnect and strengthen the bonds between parent and child.
ATTACHMENT THERAPY
Through a gentle, warm, playful, loving and nurturing relationship, an emotional connection will develop for the child to their primary caregiver.
ADOPTION SUPPORT
We have an extensive experience of, and a particular interest in adoption support.
GROUP PLAY THERAPY
Where three or more children share the same challenges, be it friendship issues, transitions or anxiety, a number of group sessions can be time and cost effective.
